Robin Le Normand to Atlético Madrid, here we go! Agreement in place also between clubs on deal worth €30m.

Atlético Madrid, the reigning La Liga champions, completed a deal on Monday for their first summer acquisition.

That is according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who names Robin Le Normand as the player in question.

Defender Le Normand has long been in the spotlight in Spain’s capital.

This comes after widespread confirmation that the 27-year-old is Atlético’s top objective for next season.

The Rojiblancos are looking to sign at least one new centre-back this summer, with Le Normand being considered the best candidate.

Negotiations have long been underway between Wanda Metropolitano executives and their counterparts at Real Sociedad.

And, as previously stated, on Monday, as much bore fruit.
