DONE DEAL: Tottenham’s offer £40m for Archie Gray has been accepted by Leeds United.

Archie Gray’s transfer to Tottenham is reportedly on the agenda with Leeds United, according to football.london. Following a personal terms agreement and a physical on Saturday, it appeared as though the 18-year-old would join Brentford. However, on Sunday, the Championship team turned down a bid from the Bees that was estimated to be worth approximately £40 million for the player.

According to LeedsLive, the West Yorkshire club canceled the trade because they didn’t like the terms of the agreement that Brentford was giving. The Durham-born talent has been linked to several Premier League teams after an exceptional season in the Championship with Leeds.

Spurs’ efforts to finalize a deal for the versatile player are understandable given his crucial contribution to Leeds’ promotion push, which sadly ended in a 1-0 loss to Southampton in the Championship play-off final.
