DONE DEAL: Arsenal have accepted Everton loan bid for Eddie Nketiah deal.

According to a report, Everton can “rescue” Mikel Arteta in the case of Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah;

however, the Blues would need to strike a balance in their pursuit of Kalvin Phillips and Jack Harrison.

The 25-year-old has scored 25 goals for the Gunners in the last three seasons and 38 goals overall.

Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace, and Fulham are among the teams who have been connected to the player.

Nketiah is reportedly eager to move on and play regular football somewhere after being played infrequently by Arteta’s title rivals,

who were defeated on the last day by Manchester City, who won their fourth consecutive championship.

The Express claim Arteta would prefer not to lose Nketiah permanently because he believes the striker could prove to be a useful asset in the future. Everton may be able to offer the Spaniard an ideal solution by taking the player on a season-long loan.

Arsenal may need to sell some of their current squad in order to boost their transfer budget.

Funds remain tight at Goodison Park as the takeover crisis at Everton continues to rage after 777 Partners’ Share Purchase Agreement expired after the contentious Miami-based private investment firm attempted for eight and a half months to acquire the go-ahead from Premier League bosses.

The ECHO is aware that the Blues are interested in signing England international Phillips on a loan from Manchester City.

Director of football Kevin Thelwell has stated that a viable football model must be based on shrewd dealing both inside and outside the club.

Since Premier League clubs like Everton are only allowed to have two domestic loans at any given time,

Thelwell and manager Sean Dyche—who has previously expressed his admiration for Phillips—will need to exercise caution when considering Harrison’s return.

Loans between Premier League clubs and other English teams are officially known as temporary transfers.

The winger played in 35 games for the Blues this season, tallying four goals.

Prior to their last match against Arsenal, the team said that they will keep in contact with Leeds United over the player’s future when the Yorkshire club’s current Championship play-off campaign ended.

Leeds’ chairman, Paraag Marathe, revealed that Harrison,

whose contract at Elland Road runs until 2028, has a clause allowing him to be loaned out one more.

Leeds lost 1-0 to Southampton at Wembley, missing out on promotion back to the Premier League.
