Leeds United reasoning behind rejected Brentford bid for Archie Gray shared

Graham Smyth has hinted that problems with the payment timeline are

the reason Archie Gray’s planned transfer from Leeds United to Brentford fell through.

A journalist for the Yorkshire Evening Post stated on the publication’s website on June 30 that although a £40 million deal was likely on Saturday night,

June 29, the terms of its payment still needed to be worked out.

 

The conditions are still unknown, but it looks like there will be a number of add-ons in addition to the initial payment.

As a result, Leeds categorically turned down Gray’s offer,

leaving Tottenham and Chelsea to continue pursuing his acquisition.

What does this signify for Leeds’s concerns regarding PSR?
Leeds supporters are aware that their team needs to

make sales in order to be able to comply with PSR regulations.

This explains why during the summer, players like Crysencio Summerville

and Gray have been frequently associated with moves elsewhere.The conditions are still unknown,
