Everton are one of the clubs interested in signing Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo.
If Amadou Onana departs the club this summer, the Toffees may want to improve
their midfield.
Also, Everton cannot rely solely on Idrissa Gueye indefinitely and must consider
replacing him at some point.
Everton have not felt the need to unload the Belgium international just yet,
but he has plenty of fans.
According to TuttoJuve, Melo has learned that he is not in Thiago Motta’s
plans for the upcoming season.
He has the option of leaving the Old Lady to play in the Premier League or
joining one of the Saudi Pro League teams.

Earlier this month (17 June), Tuttosport revealed that Everton are interested in the midfielder,
who is expected to
transfer to Merseyside this
summer.Everton appear to have stayed inside the PSR restrictions after releasing Lewis
Dobbin and Ben Godfrey this month.
They may now look forward to adding more players starting next month, and Melo would
be an excellent addition if he
can be found on the cheap.
The 22-cap Brazilian international is a very experienced midfielder who joined Liverpool
in the summer of 2022 but has
only played one game for the club.
After recovering from injury, he joined Fiorentina on loan from Juventus,
where he appeared in 48 games in all competitions
and scored two goals.
He played for clubs
like Juventus and Barcelona and can be a handy option for the Toffees in midfield.
Juventus are looking to get rid of him as he is not in the manager’s plans.
This could open the door for Everton and other
Premier League clubs to approach the Serie A giants and get the midfielder on board.
