For Gambia forward Yankuba Minteh, Brighton and Newcastle have agreed on a £30 million fee.

Before making a possible move, the 19-year-old has been granted permission to talk about personal terms at the Amex.

Minteh, who reportedly turned down the opportunity to play for Lyon in France,

is eager to return to the Premier League.

Minteh, who thrived while on loan at Feyenoord last season, has also been discussed by Everton; but, last weekend,

they were unable to come to an agreement on a trade with Newcastle in exchange for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, the Toffees’ England striker.

Newcastle would greatly benefit from the move to Brighton as they look to offload at least one key player before the end of June in order to stay out of trouble with Premier League profit and sustainability rules.

Minteh netted goals against Celtic in the Champions League in addition to his ten goals in 27 league outings for Feyenoord.

Minteh, who was acquired by Newcastle from the Danish team Odense in June of last year,

has not yet played for the Magpies in the first team.
