Barcelona has finally accepted Atletico Madrid’s bid for Clement Lenglet.

Clement Lenglet, a defender for Barcelona who returned on loan from Premier League team Aston Villa,

is expected to leave the team this summer.

During the January transfer window, La Blaugrana were willing to sell the France international to Villa, but a deal never materialized.

But dreams of a long-term trade were rekindled after he pushed his way into Unai Emery’s starting lineup for the second part of the season.

Lenglet, who still had two years on his Catalan deal, returned to Barcelona when Villa decided not to keep him.

There are reports of interest from Italy and England,

and Barcelona is still desperate to get rid of him from their roster in order to free up cash and salary space.

The most recent report from Diario Sport states that Julen Lopetegui,

the new manager of West Ham United, is eager to bring him to the London Stadium.

All parties involved are currently thinking about loans,

but Barcelona will ask for a cost and a purchase option that must be fulfilled by 2025.
