Crystal Palace is currently a beehive of talent, and despite Michael Olise’s likely exit, the club still has a treasure.

Crystal Palace stole the spotlight in the final few months of the Premier League season, courtesy to their incredible run under Oliver Glasner.

Notable victories included a 4-0 defeat of Manchester United at Selhurst Park, which established the Eagles as a new force in the league.

However, there was always the possibility that top players would be sold when wealthy clubs entered the contest.

Despite the possibility of losing Michael Olise, Palace have been advised that they still have perhaps the best player money can buy this summer.

Eze’s future is far from resolved this summer, and in an appearance on the BBC’s Euro 2024 round of 16 preview, analyst Pat Nevin praised Ebere Eze and highlighted why he is the finest possible addition this summer for any club.

“I don’t believe there is a better player that people can purchase than Eze. I believe he is currently the greatest in the business.

I don’t think anyone has better skills than him in that field. He has not had the opportunity yet.”

Eze has been fantastic for Crystal Palace, particularly under Glasner, so it’s no surprise to see him lauded so highly.

Palace will feel themselves lucky that they have Eze, which is both a benefit and a curse given that he will surely be a target for numerous clubs over the next six months.

While it’s great for Palace to have the best player money can buy, it won’t help if clubs show an interest in signing him.

This is especially true given that, according to HITC, Eze is unhappy with Olise’s exit this summer, believing the club should have kept him for next season under Glasner.

Palace didn’t have much of an option given the release clause, and with Liverpool and Spurs also interested in Eze, the Eagles may once again be left with no choice.

The Eagles will want to keep Eze, but, like Olise, his price tag and release clause are probably too good a bargain for clubs to ignore, hence

It could be tricky.

Even if Eze and Olise leave, Marc Guehi could wind up remaining because no clubs are willing to pay his £60 million price tag, and there is no release clause in place.
