but sources have consistently stated that the teenager was more than happy to stay at Elland Road.

Gray won’t necessarily be playing football with the first team every week, despite the Premier League’s allure.

When you consider that the midfielder’s family has ties to the team, it should not be shocking to learn that he was

willing to stay this summer. Regretfully, Championship teams are typically unable to turn down offers of £35 million.

Gray would not have advanced if Leeds United had been promoted back to the Premier League via playoffs or

automatic means. That loss to Southampton at Wembley has proven costly in a number of ways.

It appears likely that we’ve seen the last of the teenager wearing a Leeds shirt, at least for the time being,
