Despite the Reds’ financial predicament, Morgan Gibbs-White of Nottingham Forest is reputedly
worth at least £50 million to Tottenham Hotspur.
Prior to the summer, Spurs are rumoured to be monitoring the midfielder’s circumstances at
City Ground. Forest faces a serious risk of additional sanctions if their financial condition doesn’t
improve. Last season, they were punished four points for violating the profit and sustainability regulations (PSR).
One method to make sure the club’s worries go away is to sell a star player, and Gibbs-White fits that description. Arsenal is rumoured to be interested in defender Murillo, who has also been identified as
a possible asset that might be sold.
Only in 2022 did Gibbs-White sign a contract with Forest that was potentially worth £42 million.
The Midlands team’s survival in the Premier League the previous season was greatly aided by the
former England Under-21 international.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s team will now reportedly demand more than £50 million for Gibbs-White at
the end of the current campaign, according to The Telegraph. It’s implied that they won’t take lowball proposals in spite of their concerns about Financial Fair Play (FFP).
At the City Ground, a firm attitude on the futures of its star players is anticipated. Forest, like many other Premier League teams, will need to raise money by June 30 in order to comply with the league’s PSR.
After an unpredictable season, Morgan Gibbs-White has expressed gratitude to Nottingham Forest supporters for their support.
Last season, Gibbs-White participated in 37 Premier League games, netting six goals and dishing
out ten assists.
