DONE DEAL: Chelsea have signed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from the Foxes in the Mudryk trade with a £40 million agreement.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been touted as Chelsea’s top target in the central midfield position as the club looks to add a player to its lineup this summer.

As stated on Friday afternoon, sources have informed football London that Chelsea is interested in signing the 25-year-old from recently promoted Leicester City.

The Foxes are willing to sell their Player of the Season as they are presently under pressure to adhere to the stringent Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) of the Premier League.

Dewsbury-Hall, who came through the club’s academy system,

is reportedly valued at approximately £35 million by Leicester. Although Brighton is also attempting to sign the gifted midfield player,

there are rumors that he would like to join Chelsea.

Dewsbury-Hall was a standout player for Leicester last season,

as they made their Premier League comeback at their first attempt with a season in which they amassed 97 points enrooted to winning the league.

Everyone at King Power Stadium was thrilled with Enzo Maresca,

the new Chelsea head coach who led the Foxes back to the top division.

This includes Dewsbury-Hall, who raved about the Italian in a January interview with the official EFL website.

When asked about Maresca, the midfielder for Leicester stated,

“I’ve been mightily impressed with him since he’s come into the football club.”

The 44-year-old and the midfielder may very well be reunited very soon.

“He sat us down right away and told us how he wanted us to play,

his philosophy,

and the changes he wanted to make to the club’s off-field culture as well as its on. He is really wise.

We get along incredibly well since I’m as passionate about football as he is and he is too.

We’ve had one-on-one conversations about my game,

and he’s been really helpful in helping me get better at a lot of different things.

“His pedigree is quite strong; he’s worked under elite managers and played at the highest level,

so you should always pay attention to what he says.

Even though he has only been here a few months,

he has already had a significant influence,

so it is intriguing to see what more he can do.”

Maresca’s official head role at Chelsea will start next week,

thus that future will not be at Leicester. Dewsbury-Hall,

for his part, might be doing the same with his former boss this summer.
