DONE DEAL: Atletico Madrid has finally accepted Inter Milan’s bid for star striker Alvaro Morata’s deal

Inter Milan have made an offer of €15 million to Atletico Madrid to sign striker Alvaro Morata.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri have tabled a formal bid for the 30-year-old, who is also a target for Roma and Juventus, but that Atletico are still holding out for €20 million to sell him.

Morata’s experience in Serie A makes the 30-year-old an attractive target for several big clubs in Italy.

Inter are among the teams tracking the Atletico striker.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi is reportedly an admirer, and has made the Spaniard the first choice in attack. This comes after Inter abruptly pulled the plug on talks to sign Romelu Lukaku.

The Nerazzurri are now scurrying to find alternative targets.

If they prioritize a signing of the same age and experience as Lukaku, the Spanish former Juventus, Real Madrid, and Chelsea player would undoubtedly be a target.

And, according to SportItalia, Inter has officially entered the race for the Spaniard.

Inter Milan Bid €15M For Morata – Atletico Want €20M

The Nerazzurri aren’t just interested; they’ve made their first bid.

Inter has put €15 million on the table to persuade Atletico to do the deal.

According to SportItalia, the Cochoneros are prepared to demand €20 million for Morata’s sale. This is roughly the amount that reports have stated is the Spaniard’s release clause.

And, despite speculations that Morata could sign a new contract that would reduce that clause to €12 million, SportItalia believes that Atletico will wait for a bid at that price to arrive.

Meanwhile, Roma have also been pushing to sign Morata. The Giallorossi have already spoken with Atletico and met with Morata’s representatives.

However, the club from the capital club could be reluctant to meet Atletico’s asking price.

As for Juventus, the Bianconeri have Morata on their radar. They have already had Morata in two separate spells, and could bring him back for a third.
