Vincent Kompany comments on Rashford as Manchester United accepts £40 million proposal.

Marcus Rashford, a forward for Manchester United whose future with the Red Devils is unclear,

is apparently being watched by Bayern Munich.

In March of last year, Fabrizio Romano revealed that Rashford was thinking about leaving Old Trafford due to little playing time under interim manager Ralf Rangnick.

Under Rangnick, the 24-year-old made just 22 appearances.

Compared to starting every game under former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, this is a significant decline.

Anthony Elanga has been preferred, and the majority of those outings under the German coach have come off the bench.

During the summer Nations League matches, the forward was unable to secure a spot in the England national team.

This also jeopardizes a berth in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the FIFA World Cup in 2022.

Bundesliga winners Bayern Munich are reportedly keeping a watch on the English forward in case they are unable to secure their other targets, according to the Telegraph.

Rangnick has been replaced at Manchester United by Erik ten Hag,

who will lead a significant overhaul of the team this summer.

According to reports, Rashford wants to work with the Dutch coach to try to improve matters.

The attacker has played a crucial role for Manchester United over the years,

even before his worst season to date. With the Red Devils,

Rashford has played in 303 games, tallying 93 goals and dishing out 57 assists.

Having progressed through the Old Trafford youth ranks, he has been a lifelong Manchester United supporter.

ESPN says that Rashford has been asked by United to focus more on his football career than his off-field endeavors.

The Englishman still combines his playing contributions with his perceptive efforts on social concerns.

Serge Gnabry, a player for Bayern Munich whose contract negotiations are still stalled,

is a player the Red Devils may be interested in.

The Red Devils, along with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Real Madrid,

are reportedly pursuing the winger, according to German news source Sport1 (via The Sun).

According to reports, the 26-year-old is willing to leave the Allianz Arena since he doesn’t feel appreciated there.

Gnabry has made 171 appearances for the Bavarians,

tallying 40 assists and 64 goals in that time.

Having won the UEFA Champions League in 2020 and the Bundesliga four times,

he has been a major contributor to Bayern Munich’s recent success.
