Official: Leeds United star set for ‘£2.5m exit’

According to reports, Sheffield United and Jamie Shackleton of Leeds United have reached an agreement.

After a poor start to the summer transfer season, the Blades are now trying to complete moves,

especially those that are for free, to hold onto some of the big earners who have followed them down from the Premier League until they can clear out.

This summer, Shackleton’s contract with Leeds expires, and at the end of this week,

he will become a free agent—but only for a little while. Football Insider claims that Shackleton has consented to join the Blades,

and the agreement will formalise in the next few days.

“I truly think highly of him, especially considering how adaptable and versatile he is.

He has filled in admirably at right-back for us in recent months when we have required him,

He has been a long-time member of Leeds United and consistently gives the team his all.

The defender Diego Llorente, who has been out on loan with AS Roma for the past 18 months,

is another player who is anticipated to depart Leeds. If Roma decides not to re-sign Llorente this summer,
