Newcastle in talks with Brighton over £80m deal – Repot

Brighton is already ahead in the competition to recruit Yankuba Minteh, a winger for Newcastle United, according to reports that surfaced on Friday night.
The 19-year-old is reportedly the subject of increased attention from the Seagulls,

who have conducted negotiations about a £30 million trade, according to Mark Douglas of the i. This would enable Newcastle to meet the Premier League’s PSR requirements before the June 30 deadline.

Though it’s said that Everton, Borussia Dortmund, and Lyon have also expressed a strong interest, the South Coast team is now the clear favorite to sign the Gambian, who will probably be eager to join the Premier League.

Douglas’ Friday night article raises certain concerns, one of which being Brighton’s unlikelyness to reach an agreement on a transfer that contains a buy-back mechanism for Newcastle.
