Jordan Henderson, the former midfielder for Liverpool, has responded to being left out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2024 by reporting back to training early.

Henderson, 34, made his way out of Saudi Arabia after six months and signed with the

Dutch team in 2023–24. He has already returned to Ajax’s training site to start getting

ready for the upcoming season. After departing from Liverpool a year ago,

Ajax was cut short by an injury sustained while trying to join Al-Ettifaq FC.

English midfielder because of his background in both on and off the field. However,

Southgate was under intense pressure from supporters to leave Henderson out of the starting lineup and

was unable to make way for him.

In a strange turn of events, the England head coach has since lamented the lack of holding

midfield options following the team’s poor 1-1 draw with Denmark in their second Euro 2024 group match.

Henderson accepted Southgate’s decision prior to the tournament with grace,

but his attitude has communicated something to the England manager.
