Done deal: Real Betis sign Marc Roca from Leeds United on permanent transfer
Real Betis, a team in La Liga, revealed on Friday that they have added a midfield player to their roster on a permanent basis.
The player who will be in Manuel Pellegrini’s starting lineup for the 2024–2025 season? Marc Rodriguez.
For his part, Leeds United midfielder Roca was on loan at Estadio Benito Villamarín throughout the previous season.
Subsequently, the Spaniard turned into a vital member of the Verdiblancos midfield, making 34 appearances in all
competitions, including 24 starts in La Liga.
Conversely, it was not unexpected to learn that the Benito Villamarín’s leadership had begun stepping up efforts in
recent weeks to hold onto Roca past the summer.
And as was already mentioned, these efforts paid off on Friday.
According to a statement posted on Real Betis’ website and social media accounts, “Leeds United and Real Betis
Balompié have reached an agreement for the transfer of Marc Roca.” The contract for the new Green and White
player is valid until 2029.
It’s believed that Roca’s signing will cost his new team approximately €4.5 million.
