Report:West Ham at verge of signing 20 year-old striker from Atletico Madrid-deal ongoing

Several Premier League clubs are interested in the striker, according to a report from the Spanish news agency

published on page 25 of their print edition on June 27.

Omorodion was already the subject of a bid from West Ham, but Atletico rejected it.

Chelsea also had a bid for the 20-year-old denied.

For the Hammers, signing Omorodion would be a significant transfer risk.

In addition to lacking English football experience, he is an inexperienced striker who has not yet turned 21.

Since there is no assurance that he would be successful at the London Stadium, Julen Lopetegui might prefer that

the team pursue a more seasoned goal scorer.

It goes without saying that East London needs a new number nine, as the position has been problematic for the team
