Foot Mercato previously revealed that Olympique Lyonnais are in talks with Nottingham Forest about the transfer of Moussa Niakhaté (28). The magazine has now revealed that the Senegalese international has turned down two clubs in favor of joining Les Gones.

OL and Nottingham Forest have made progress in talks in recent days, and the deal appears to be on track, with Niakhaté expected to pass a physical as early as Friday. While the clubs try to reach an agreement, the player has already approved the move to Lyon, Foot Mercato reports. The centre back

has already agreed to a deal for either four or five years.

Niakhaté chose OL over two other offers, from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace and Lille OSC. Once a deal is made with Nottingham Forest, which is expected to be about €15 million, he will go to Lyon to complete his medical before signing his contract.
