The 66-year-old, who ran a football consultancy advising elite clubs after serving as CEO of Goodison Park from 2004 to 2009, stated the Foxes will receive a points penalty “without a doubt” in spite of the delay in scheduling a hearing during an interview with Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast.

The Premier League penalized Leicester in March for violating the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) during the 2022–2023 season.
Over their last three Premier League campaigns, the Foxes have lost a total of £215 million. Under PSR, teams are only allowed to lose £105 million over a three-year period.

Leicester responded to the accusation with legal action, which has postponed the release of an independent panel that may decide to apply a potential punishment

Leicester face points deduction ‘without a doubt’, says Wyness

Wyness stated that the promoted club is unlikely to avoid a penalty without a “big change in the rules” and that he expects word about a possible deduction next week.
