Leicester face points deduction ‘without a doubt’, says Wyness

Wyness expects to hear about a potential deduction next week, and he believes the promoted club will not avoid a penalty unless the regulations are changed significantly.

He told Football Insider’s Insider Track podcast: “It’s all happening behind closed doors right now with the lawyers.”

“I’ve been watching this situation closely, and I hope to hear something next week.

“We’ll see how it goes, but it’ll be challenging. Without a doubt, some points will be deducted, and Leicester will have to fight with one hand tied behind their back next season.

“The timing of the hearings will be critical. They’ve delayed it by launching their own action against the Premier League, but collaborating with the probe eliminates a ground of appeal.”Overall, it will be a battle for Leicester, but they will be prepared.

“Without a big change in the rules, it’s hard to see how they escape punishment – but they’ll give it a go, I’m sure of that.In other news, Everton make a move for Leicester City’s star.
