Brighton hold strong interest in teammate of Lionel Messi at Inter Miami

TalkSPORT believes that Brighton is very interested in Inter Miami midfielder Diego Gomez.

Following Roberto De Zerbi’s departure, the Seagulls just announced the hiring of Fabian Hurzeler as their new head coach.

In an attempt to bolster the team ahead of his debut season, the South Coast club has focused on the United States.

Gomez, an international player for Paraguay, joined Inter Miami last summer at the same time as Lionel Messi and is valued at £15 million.

In his 25 club outings, he has netted four goals, scoring 19 of them in all competitions with the Argentine great.

Gomez was a member of the Inter Miami team that won the Leagues Cup in August of last year, and the Premier League is now showing interest in him.

Hurzeler wants to keep Pascal Gross, a fellow midfielder,

with the team even though Borussia Dortmund is leading the chase to sign him.

Although Stuttgart is willing to exercise their £20 million buy option on the German attacker,

he is also anxious for Deniz Undav to stay.

Ibrahim Osman, who is reportedly moving from Danish club FC Nordsjaelland for £16 million, will be Brighton’s first summer addition.

Adam Lallana has already left the team and signed a one-year contract to return to Southampton.
