The winger’s resistance to joining the Ligue 1 team has reportedly put Yankuba Minteh‘s planned move to Lyon in significant jeopardy today afternoon, according to reports.
According to Matt Hughes of The Sun, Newcastle and Lyon have reached a £40 million deal.

However, the Gambian player is not interested in moving to France and has turned down the opportunity to talk about personal conditions since he wants to stay in the Premier League.

Given that Newcastle has withdrawn from negotiations to sign Toffees striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Everton’s pursuit of the 19-year-old has now collapsed twice in as many weeks.
