After losing in the NBA Finals more than a week ago, the Dallas Mavericks are gearing up for free agency and the

NBA Draft. Despite his incredible stats, their major player Luka Doncic was not awarded MVP, but he still has a

chance to earn some season-long hardware.

that Jayson Tatum will win.

Doncic led the Mavericks into the Finals before losing to the Boston Celtics, averaging 33.9 points, 9.8 rebounds,

and 9.2 assists per game throughout the regular season. He was the greatest player throughout the postseason

despite battling injuries, and he ought to have placed higher than third on the MVP vote.

The Slovenian superstar has five times been named to the All-NBA First Team and has won numerous other awards,

including NBA Rookie of the Year and MVP of the EuroLeague. However, he has never taken home an ESPY.

The 2024 ESPY Awards are scheduled to air on ABC on July 11 at 7 p.m. CST.
