Celtic TV has released a promotional video highlighting the club’s upcoming coverage of its preseason fixtures. If anyone needed reminding, that begins on Friday, July 5.

At the time of writing, that is only nine days away. And, while any summer break that includes a European Championship or a World Cup is always welcome, the energy that drives the return of club football is palpable.

The Celtic USA Tour 2024 is undoubtedly the most anticipated event of the coming weeks, with Celtic facing DC United, Manchester City, and Chelsea across the Atlantic, but Brendan Rodgers and his team will prepare for the trip with preseason friendly against Queen’s Park and Ayr United beforehand

The latter game is the first of Celtic’s preseason friendlies ahead of the 2024/25 season, when Brendan Rodgers and his squad will defend the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Cup.

The Celtics’ full preseason schedule is as follows:

Ayr United versus Celtic
Date: Friday, July 5.

Kick-off time is 7.45pm.
Stadium: Somerset Park.

Queen’s Park versus Celtic
Date: Wednesday, July 10.
Kick-off time is 7.45pm.
Stadium: The City Stadium (previously, Lesser Hampden)

DC United versus Celtic
Date: Sunday, July 21 (Saturday, July 20 local time).
Kick-off time is 12.30am UK (7.30pm local time).
Stadium: Audi Field (capacity: 20,000)

Celtic versus Manchester City
Date: Wednesday, July 24 (local time: Tuesday, July 23).
Kick-off time is 12.30am (7.30pm local time).
Kenan Stadium (capacity: 50,500).

Celtic vs. Chelsea
Date: Saturday, July 27
Kick-off: 9 p.m. UK time (4 p.m. local time).
