West Brom now move to sign “quality” free agent ahead of Birmingham

After missing out on the Championship playoffs semi-finals the previous season, West Bromwich Albion is looking to

bolster their squad during the summer transfer window by giving Carlos Corberan a fresh attacking talent.

The most recent news coming out of The Hawthorns suggests that West Brom are keen to add a number of new

signings to their roster this summer, with Moussa Diarra being the most recent name linked with a move to the West Midlands.

Although defensive players are obviously at the top of West Brom’s wish list, the team is still keen to add new players

to their attack, as they prepare to compete with rivals for a Championship-proven free agent. As Birmingham World

first reported, West Bromwich Albion is anticipated to challenge Birmingham City to sign Josh Windass on a free

transfer. Due to the stalling of negotiations for a new contract, Windass, 30, looks certain to leave Hillsborough at

the end of this month. His current contract with Sheffield Wednesday expires on June 30.
