The Dutchman will join Clement’s staff already in place

Andries Ulderink will be joining Rangers’ backroom staff under Philippe Clement.

The Ibrox manager wants to strengthen his supporting cast as he plans to challenge Celtic for the Premiership title

the following year. Alex Rae also collaborates with the management team, with Stephan Van Der Heyden serving as

the manager’s current number two. Even though he returned to Auchenhowie this morning with the team, the

latter’s contract expires this summer, and it is still unclear whether or not he will stay in Glasgow.

Ulderink, the second in charge of Royal Antwerp, returned to the team this morning for pre-season training and

brings a wealth of expertise with him.

The 54-year-old Dutchman has been a coach for about 30 years; he was never a high-level professional player.

He has been Mark van Bommel‘s assistant at Antwerp, Belgium, for the past few years, but he is now searching for a

fresh challenge, and Ibrox is beckoning.
