Tottenham gazump five Premier League clubs in bid to sign record-breaking Welsh wonderkid

After outwitting other Premier League teams to acquire the 16-year-old Glentoran striker George Feeney, Tottenham

Hotspur is set to make the announcement.

When Feeney scored the team’s first goal of the season in October of last year, he created history. In the second half of

Cup first-round triumph over Dollingstown, he scored an incredible goal at the age of fifteen.

The football organizations of Wales and Northern Ireland, who are both eager to include the young player in their

international pipeline, have been at odds about his potential.

Although he has played at the juvenile level for Northern Ireland, he most recently played for Wales U16s, where he

appeared in seven games and scored two goals in matches against Saudi Arabia and Japan between March and May

of this year.

Feeney, who is still quite young, made a big impression on the East Belfast club’s reserve team last season, scoring a
