Edwards is actually valued by Posh at £10 million, which is the same amount that Spurs are willing to pay for Rodon. This indicates that Edwards would undoubtedly start for St. Mary’s right away.

With the addition of Edwards, Southampton would have four right-footed center backs on its roster in addition to Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Jan Bednarek, and Jack Stephens from the first team squad from the previous campaign.

Considering that, unless they were to let players go, a move for Rodon would undoubtedly be off the table, giving Leeds one less team to worry about.
