Rossoneri are on the verge of signing La Liga’s top ace striker after discussions for the Bologna Dutch striker failed.

AC Milan is in talks to sign Joshua Zirkzee,

but the Rossoneri have a backup plan in case negotiations with the Dutch attacker fail.

The first aim for AC Milan this summer will be to sign one key player for the attack.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic indicated in a recent interview that the

Rossoneri intend to complete the signing of a new striker before moving on to other positions.

It is no secret that Joshua Zirkzee, the Netherlands international,

has been appointed to lead the

AC Milan assault next season following a successful tenure with Bologna.

Zirkzee was a key contribution to Bologna’s remarkable campaign,

which secured Champions League football for next season.

There’s a good chance that Zirkzee’s transfer will not go through if neither party’s stance changes anytime soon,

and the Rossoneri are prepared with a backup plan.

If Zirkzee doesn’t show up, AC Milan is focused on Artem Dovbyk.

The 26-year-old striker from Ukraine had a successful debut campaign with Girona.

Artem Dovbyk was the Spanish team’s attacking weapon of choice as they shocked everyone with their fast-paced, thrilling football.

Dovbyk is subject to the same €40 million release clause as Zirkzee.

But in this instance, the agent commission is substantially more advantageous.

After making 84 appearances for Dnipro and scoring 53 goals, Dovbyk made an excellent transfer to Spain.

Dovbyk was Girona’s leading scorer during the recently concluded La Liga season, scoring 24 goals in 36 games.

In addition, he contributed eight assists and nearly forty percent of his team’s goals.
