Scottish football has seen the unexpected comeback of Rangers hero Nacho Novo.

It was eleven years ago that the 45-year-old played in Scotland.

That occurred during his brief stay at Greenock Morton. Naturally, his most well-known contribution to Scottish football dates

back to his early to mid-2000s stints at Rangers and Raith Rovers in Dundee.

When he won multiple Scottish Premiership titles at Ibrox, he became a fan favourite.

Prior to playing for multiple clubs in Poland, England, the United States, and Northern Ireland,

the striker had competed for Sporting Gijon in La Liga.

In 2017, he decided to end his playing career. In November 2022, he moved to the United States to become a coach.

Novo was Lexington Sporting Club’s assistant manager.

That position didn’t last very long, and he is currently coaching again, this time in Scotland.

Drumchapel United of the West of Scotland Football League has announced that Novo has joined as a coach for the forthcoming season.

After winning the WoSFL First Division the previous season, the Glasgow-based squad will now compete in

the upper echelons of the erstwhile junior divisions, where teams like Auchinleck Talbot, Darvel, Clydebank, and Beith will also be present.
