Atletico Madrid chief Enrique Cerezo has declared that Alvaro Morata…

Alvaro Morata will stay at Atletico Madrid for the upcoming season, despite a lot of rumors connecting him to the exit. Enrique Cerezo, the president of the team, made this announcement. The seasoned striker is believed to be eager to return to Serie A and has a €15 million release clause.

He publicly stated that he was not at a point in his career where he could afford to sit on the bench if he was not a priority for Los Rojiblancos after being benched by Diego Simeone at the end of the previous campaign. However, Cerezo downplayed any idea of leaving.

“Alvaro is excelling at the Euros. He plays for Atletico Madrid and is the Spanish team’s number nine. “Next season, he’ll be joining us,” he informed Marca.

Additionally, he stated that Joao Felix’s circumstances had not improved. It’s a separate story entirely whether or not the two clubs can agree on terms for him to return on loan to Barcelona.

He is now at the Euros. We must wait to see what the Barcelona Football Club chooses before acting. With him, the circumstances are the same.

This summer, Los Rojiblancos are reportedly looking to slightly restructure their roster, which explains the €70.7 million capital boost. They’ve also been in negotiations with Girona regarding Artem Dovbyk, but because neither Juventus nor any other team has made a move for him yet, it’s not out of the question that Morata stays.
