Antoine Griezmann Joins Sunderland

Antoine Griezmann, who signed a £103 million contract to leave Atletico Madrid for Barcelona in 2019,

has agreed to a contract extension with the club through 2026.

The 31-year-old initially joined Atletico on loan last season, and the club plans to make his return permanent after this season.

During his tenure at the Nou Camp, he won just the Copa del Rey and finished with 35 goals in 102 games for Barcelona.

Griezmann made his first appearance back at Atletico as Barca looked to reduce payroll in light of their £1.15 billion in debt.

The French football player, who left the team in a £103 million trade three years ago, has signed a contract that runs until 2026.
