Rangers in ‘very advanced’ talks over biggest summer signing
Football Insider has been informed by sources that Rangers’ bid for Yusuf Kabadayi, the winger for Bayern Munich, has been accepted.
The German powerhouses have given the Light Blues permission to speak with the 20-year-old as
he gets closer to moving to Ibrox.
Although Kabadayi has interest from Turkey as well, a transaction has not yet been finalised.
However, sources indicate that the Rangers’ move is “very advanced” and should be completed
shortly.
The winger, who has one more year remaining on his Bayern contract and spent last season on loan
at Schalke in Germany’s second division, has been in talks with Rangers for some time.
The wide player, who plays for the fallen giants, is a Germany Under-20 international who scored
five goals in 26 games.
After the domestic season ended, Rangers went on a transfer spree, and they have already completed
the signing of four new players.
Rangers set to sign Yusuf Kabadayi from Bayern Munich
They have declared Connor Barron’s arrival on Friday, prolonged Oscar Cortes’ loan, and verified
the captures of Jefte and Clinton Nsiala.
Kabadayi joined Bayern Munich’s academy and signed his first professional contract in 2023,
but he hasn’t played for the team as a senior yet.
He was loaned to Schalke as soon as he signed the two-year contract, where he played in 24 senior matches and scored four goals in the previous campaign.
According to sources, the winger’s time at Bayern is over, and the team plans to cash in before his contract expires in 2025.
Many would view the player’s arrival as Rangers’ biggest statement acquisition of the summer, considering his skill, status as a Germany youth international, and current club.
