Leeds Plot Bundesliga Champions Raid for Hotshot Striker

The back pages of the newspapers reveal that Leeds are closely monitoring 21-year-old Adam Hlozek of Bayer Leverkusen,

a striker who scored seven goals and provided four assists in 952 minutes of action for the German Champions last season.

Hlozek is currently away at the Euros with the Czech Republic.

The Sunday Mirror claims that Hlozek is available for a ridiculously low price of just £12 million.

At the championship level, he has the physical size (6 feet 2 inches) and technical proficiency to be a game changer.

Maybe the team wants to spend a lot of money on a big target to give Farke more choices up front?

The adaptable attacker, who can play offensive midfielder left or center, or up front as a lone striker,

has also attracted interest from West Ham, however it is uncertain how much playing time he will receive at Leeds.

Leeds has all but given up on signing 26-year-old Joe Rodon,

The Welshman is being pursued by Ipswich Town and Leicester City as well,

so his prospects of going back to the Championship are dwindling daily—not to mention the cost.

Though he was excellent for us last season, the Whites may theoretically spend £12 million on a big acquisition this summer,

but it will be for a game changer rather than a center-back. Gretar Steinsson,

Various tabloid reports over the weekend claimed that Nottingham Forest had put in a £16.9 million bid for Wilfred Gnonto, a wantaway winger.

The 20-year-old Gnonto is among a number of players expected to depart Elland Road this summer

as Leeds looks to trim their payroll and prepare for the upcoming campaign.
