Adam Hlozek, a forward for Bayer Leverkusen, is being pursued by West Ham in the summer transfer window.

Hlozek may decide to leave the German team.

The Sunday Mirror print edition (page 76, June 23) reports that the 21-year-old striker is “highly rated” throughout Europe.

In the summer, the Hammers really need to sign a new striker.

Luis Guilherme, a Brazilian forward, has already joined them, and they intend to bolster their offensive line.

Although Michail Antonio has given the Hammers his all over the years,

the club needs to make plans for his long-term replacement since he is nearing the end of his playing days.

Despite having a strong goal-scoring history when he signed from Aston Villa, Danny Ings has performed horribly throughout his two seasons there.

If the deal is right, there’s a good probability West Ham will sell him.

In other words, the Hammers need a new striker, and Hlozek would be a wise addition.

Due to his inability to secure regular games, the 32-time captained striker from the Czech Republic “may be set to leave” the German champions.

He only made four starts for Leverkusen last season, yet he still managed seven goals and five assists.

Xabi Alonso’s team at Leverkusen is stacked with elite players, thus he isn’t receiving enough playing time.

He is a “unlocked promise,” though, and any team that wants to pay about £12 million to sign him can do so at a discount.

Hlozek is presently competing for his country in the Euro 2024 Championships with the national team,

and when he returns for preseason training, his future will probably be determined.

He has a 2027 contract with Leverkusen and is described as a “nimble, cunning attacker.”

Leeds United is also interested in signing him, but if the Hammers make an offer, he might be more inclined to move to the Premier League.
