Leeds United has accepted to pay a whooping £10m for ‘rapid’ Premier League star

Rodon, 26, joined Tottenham in 2021 under Jose Mourinho and spent a dismal time there before moving on loan at

Elland Road last summer. Nor did a loan in France with Rennes make things happen.

However, Gretar Steinsson and Nick Hammond from Spurs joined Leeds’ transfer department,

and the team quickly established a strong relationship with the North London team, signing Rodon and Djed Spence.

Rodon made it work whereas the latter failed. He made 50 games for Leeds in 2023–2024 and established himself as

a vital member of the team. But as summer approaches, it’s uncertain what lies ahead for the “rapid” star.

How much the Tottenham team is willing to part with Joe Rodon as an eye deal in Leeds

The attempt to re-sign Rodon has been cast into doubt as a result of Leeds’ failure to advance.

Leicester, Ipswich, and Southampton—the three freshly promoted teams—have all expressed interest in him due to his performance.

Naturally, Rodon signed a contract extension with the Spurs; this was not a choice he made.

Daniel Levy can now ask for a higher fee because his existing contract is no longer set to expire in 12 months.

Leeds must sell this summer, but it’s doubtful the team will have the funds to make a significant purchase.

However, according to a report from The Sun (23/06, p. 55), Spurs is willing to trade the defender in exchange for a £10 million fee.
