playerNathan Bishop, a former goalkeeper for Manchester United, is rumored to be leaving Sunderland this summer.

The goalie, who played just one league game in his debut season on Wearside, was unable to

displace first-choice Anthony Patterson after joining the Black Cats from the Red

Devils last summer.

After spending the previous season on loan at AFC Wimbledon, Alex Bass of

Portsmouth has since announced his move from Sunderland to Notts County.

Bishop is now anticipated to follow Bass out the door. That’s what Alan Nixon says.

Bishop’s career on Wearside will probably come to an end after the Wearsiders

hired former Coventry City goalkeeper Simon Moore to battle with Patterson in the 2024–25 campaign.

Nixon says that in order to create room for rookie Robert Cook,

Sunderland’s second-choice stopper from the previous season will be moved off.

Nixon continues, saying Sunderland will fly the Australian prospect to the Northeast for

negotiations the following month. The 17-year-old, who is said to be among the greatest in the nation,

is eligible to join with the Black Cats since he is a British citizen.
