Chelsea submit improved offer for Atletico Madrid’s Samu Omorodion
Chelsea’s top goal this summer is to recruit a new striker, and they have their sights set on Samu Omorodion, according to a report from Football Insider. The Blues want to come back with a better offer, even though Atletico Madrid rejected their first one.
After a stellar run at Granada, Omorodion signed with the Madrid-based team in the summer.
He was ultimately sent out on loan to Deportivo Alaves because Diego Simeone’s first team did not
have room for him.
He participated in 35 league games while on loan at Alaves for a whole year, helping to score
10 goals (9 goals, 1 assist). The Spanish youth international had an outstanding run, and Chelsea
is showing a lot of interest in him as a result.
The Blues are trying to make the required adjustments in order to ensure that they can recover
from their disappointing season in 2024–2025. Chelsea has prioritised signing a new
center-forward after experiencing offensive difficulties at various points during the season.
Even though they had reached a preliminary agreement to buy Jhon Duran from Aston Villa. The conversation has stopped. The London club has consequently turned its attention to Omorodion.
Chelsea to return with a better offer for Omorodion
Atletico Madrid did receive a knock on the door from the Blues with an offer to remove him.
They placed a starting bid for the 20-year-old that was approximately £27 million. But Diego
Simeone’s squad decided the offer was insufficient.
Chelsea is anticipated to make a better offer soon since they are not giving up. The team located in Madrid is aware of this and is preparing for a greater offer to come their way.
Even though the Blues are making a lot of effort to acquire Omorodion, it will be fascinating to see
if they consider him to be their best option to lead the line given his lack of experience and relative inexperience.
