Michael Olise, a star player for Crystal Palace, has decided to join Bayern Munich despite interest

from Premier League teams.

After receiving interest from Chelsea and Newcastle United, Olise has reportedly decided to join Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern during the summer transfer window, according to The Athletic.

After deciding that the money was “out of reach” to finalise a deal, Chelsea withdrew from

negotiations with the Eagles to pursue the 22-year-old winger.

During his formative years, Olise attended Chelsea from 2009 until 2016 before joining Manchester

City. After that, he signed with Reading, where he would finally make his senior football debut,

before joining Palace in 2021.

Last year, Olise had the option of signing with Selhurst Park for a new four-year contract with fresh terms and a release clause worth approximately £60 million ($76 million), which has piqued the

interest of various clubs throughout the world of football.

What Next for Olise?

While the Frenchman is gone at the Olympics with his country, his representatives will probably

work out a deal with the Bavarian club. If everything goes according to plan, he will play with

Jamal Musiala and Harry Kane at the Allianz Arena the next season.

The reasoning behind the recruitment is simple: Olise, 22, fits Bayern’s goal of investing in younger players rather than merely stars because he is a talented young player who will only get better and increase in value.
