Statement from AC Milan about Theo Hernandez’s prospects

Theo Hernandez, a star for AC Milan, is a player that Chelsea may be interested in signing this summer.

In an effort to bolster his team before the new campaign begins,

Chelsea may be in the market for a left-back this summer, according to Enzo Maresca.

Although the England international missed a significant portion of the season due to injury, Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella shared the duty in the previous year.

When the Blues controlled the ball, Cucurella did well when Mauricio Pochettino instructed the Spaniard to switch roles and play in the center of the field.

But none of the players took the globe by storm, and this has led to connections with Theo Hernandez.

After joining the Serie A powerhouses in 2019 after departing Real Madrid, the AC Milan star has thrived in Italy.

If Hernandez is hired this summer, Chelsea is reportedly willing to let go of either Cucurella or Chilwell. Given that the AC Milan player frequently plays as an inverted full-back for both Milan and his country,

Blues executives think he would fit in well with Maresca’s system.

What has Hernandez stated regarding his future, then? When questioned earlier this week about his ambitions, the defender stayed silent.

“We shall see later whether I decide to stay in Milan or go,” Hernandez remarked. “I’ll decide later whether or not to stay. I’m just thinking about the European Championship right now.”

Hernandez participated in the entire 90 minutes of France’s opening Euro 2024 group stage match against Austria, which resulted in a 1-0 victory for Didier Deschamps’ team. Hernandez is expected to start for France against the Netherlands on Friday night. With transfer rumors continuing, this may be the ideal chance for Chelsea to keep a careful watch on the defender.
