Southampton is considering a late move for a La Liga forward.

The Sun reports that Southampton is considering a summer move for Ben Brereton Diaz, an attacker for Villarreal

and a Chile international.

The 25-year-old spent the latter half of last season on loan at Sheffield United from Villarreal.

Despite the Blades getting relegated from the Premier League as the division’s bottom-placed team, he still managed

to find the back of the net six times in 14 league appearances.

Although Brereton Diaz is expected to return to Villarreal in the summer, the Premier League is once more showing

interest in him.

According to rumors, Southampton manager Russell Martin is investigating a signing for the attacker, who is 25

years old.

As he gets ready for life in the top division come next season, the Saints manager wants his team to have experience

in the Premier League.

Martin is interested in the former Blackburn striker after seeing how well he played in the Premier League the

previous year.

Brereton Diaz may be allowed to move out on loan once more by Villarreal, with the option to purchase during the
