Sky Sport: Buongiorno’s €40 million contract with Napoli is sealed.

In order to try to finalize a deal for Alessandro Buongiorno before the end of the European Championship,

Napoli is eager to expedite their negotiations with Torino.

The 25-year-old Italian center back has developed steadily over the last six years with the Granata.

This season,

he excelled in Serie A,

drawing interest from several teams, including Inter, Juventus, and a few Premier League teams.

The transfer has already received the approval of Napoli coach Antonio Conte,

and the team has been in talks with Torino for several weeks in an attempt to get an agreement for Buongiorno before their competitors.

To try to finalize an agreement for Buongiorno,

Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna is in frequent touch with his Torino counterparts,

as detailed on pages 35 and 25 of today’s Tuttosport and Corriere dello Sport.

The Granata are sticking hard for a total of €45 million,

despite their previous €35 million bid for the defender.

A five-year contract for about €2.5 million net per season with add-ons has been offered to the athlete.

The Partenopei hope to finalize an agreement in the coming weeks,

and they are eager to move quickly to outpace their competitors.
