Reiss Nelson is reportedly drawing interest from both West Ham United and Nottingham Forest

Nelson agreed to a new four-year contract with the Gunners in July, but his lack of playing time under Mikel Arteta

has made it possible for him to leave the Emirates.

The 24-year-old winger is reportedly receptive to proposals from Arsenal, who sees his sale as a way to raise money

for summer acquisitions. Nelson, who made only five appearances across all competitions last season due to his

struggles securing regular starts, is reportedly being pursued by the club for a sum of at least £25 million.

Despite the fact that Nelson is a homegrown player and Arsenal is eager to keep their homegrown player cap intact,

insiders have told Football Insider that the team is prepared to let him go if a sizable offer is made.

The Gunners’ top priority is to bolster their offense, and Nelson’s exit may make room in the team and financial

resources for new players.

Nelson’s situation at Arsenal has altered despite the recent contract extension that followed interest from Sevilla and

Wolves in the summer, since he has continued to play little this season. His future has come under scrutiny as a

result, with some publications speculating that he may soon leave the Emirates.

Since making his debut for the team in 2017, Nelson, who has been with Arsenal since he was nine years old,

has played 89 games. But in recent seasons, his opportunities have been scarce, and he has found it difficult to

establish himself as a regular starter.

Although there have been glimpses of the winger’s promise, his lack of consistency and final product have drawn

criticism. Nelson might be given up to make room for new players, as Arsenal hopes to bolster their roster this

summer.

The next several weeks will show whether any club is willing to pay Arsenal’s asking price for Nelson,

but a number of Premier League teams are probably interested in signing him. It’s possible that Brighton,

who were said to be interested in signing him last summer, will revive their pursuit of him, and other teams will

probably follow suit.
