Juventus has offered Euro 2024 star to Manchester United in a spectacular Mason Greenwood swap

Following Mason Greenwood’s impressive loan stint in Spain with Getafe, the 22-year-old attacker for Manchester United is apparently being offered by Juventus in exchange for Federico Chiesa, the star of Italy’s Euro 2024 squad.

Chiesa has been one of Italy’s most impressive players lately, and if they win the Euros this summer, Luciano Spalletti’s team will rely heavily on him.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serie A powerhouses are considering their options and may decide to send Chiesa to Old Trafford in order to complete a deal, as they are now unwilling to match United’s asking price for Greenwood.

Though he may be seen as a ready-made successor for Greenwood at United, the 26-year-old’s future has been in doubt since Thiago Motta arrived to replace Massimiliano Allegri, alerting the likes of United and Liverpool to his availability.

Few right-wingers available will be considered a better buy than Chiesa, who may aid in the departure between United and Greenwood that has been anticipated for a year, following Bayern Munich’s loss of Michael Olise.

Lazio, on the other hand, has put forward their own exchange offer and is still vying for Greenwood, considering United’s asking price of almost £42 million to be excessive.

Juventus would be better equipped to pay United’s asking price for Greenwood outright if they could raise the money they intend to by unloading a number of unwanted players this summer.

However, if their summer sales continue till late August, Greenwood might have already decided to sign with a competitor, forcing Juventus to find a replacement and give Chiesa a chance.
