Douglas Luiz has joined Juventus in a massive swap-plus-cash transfer, while two players move to Aston Villa as the club looks to keep in line with Premier League spending restrictions.

Douglas Luiz is getting close to joining Juventus,

and Aston Villa is prepared to let go of the Brazilian midfielder in order to comply with spending regulations.

While Luiz is presently playing for Brazil in the Copa America,

he is prepared to move to Serie A. As part of the deal, Samuel Iling junior and Enzo Barrenechea,

two peripheral Juventus players, would go to Villa and earn approximately £25 million.

The agreement would help Villa’s financial difficulties somewhat.

For the club to be sure they won’t violate the Premier League’s sustainability and profitability rules,

they must turn a profit this month (PSR).

As occurred to Everton and Nottingham Forest last season,

clubs which surpass the allowed losses—£105 million over the preceding three years—run the risk of having their points deducted.

The current accounting period concludes on June 30.

Additionally, according to Italian sources, Juventus has reportedly agreed to pay Villa a portion of any future transfer fee Villa would get for Iling or Barrenechea, should this deal proceed.

Villa would acquire roughly £25 million in addition to Samuel Iling junior (left) and Enzo Barrenechea (right), two Juventus periphery players.

Even if homegrown midfielder Tim Iroegbunam was close to finalizing a move to Everton, Luiz may not be the last high-profile Villa exit this month.

Complete-back Matty Cash has been offered to both AC Milan and Inter Milan,

with Villa transfer boss Monchi hoping to square the circle by leveraging his contacts in the European game to provide a big return for PSR purposes.

Jhon Duran, a forward, is also open to transfers. Unai Emery,

the manager, wants to improve his alternatives at full-back and in midfield while providing Ollie Watkins with more support.
