Rangers have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Hamza Igamane, who is now close to joining Ibrox.
According to a report from BeINSport, Rangers have “officially” secured a deal for the Moroccan striker to bring him to Glasgow in the summer window.
It has been a busy transfer window for the Bears who are preparing for a major squad revamp under Philippe Clement.
The Gers have already signed four players, but more incomings and outgoings are expected at Ibrox this summer.
Jefte, Oscar Cortes and Clinton Nsiala have already been signed by the Belgian boss, while Connor Barron has become the latest player to have come through the door at Ibrox. It appears that Igamane will soon become the new addition at Rangers.
Hamza Igamane – Rangers agree deal
According to the Daily Record, Rangers paid over £2.5 million to sign the FAR Rabat striker. He will sign a five-year contract at Ibrox and will become the club’s sixth signing this summer when he arrives in Glasgow on Monday (24 June).
This indicates that Rangers fans should expect an official confirmation within the next 48 hours.
The 21-year-old attacker is one of Morocco’s most highly regarded players, and the Gers appear to have made a great signing.
The Rangers have released Kemar Roofe, and Sam Lammers may be sold if he receives a suitable offer elsewhere. Cyriel Dessers has also struggled to make an impression, and the Bears needed to buy extensively in the forward position.
So far, the new additions have been quite promising, but Clement should also consider bringing in some veteran players. After selling players like Roofe, Borna Barisic, Ryan Jack, and John Lundstram, many observers have questioned if these previously unknown talents can handle the pressure at Ibrox.
