Confirmed: Leeds reach full agreement to sell player, documents being exchanged

After the 27-year-old spent last season on loan at Betis [Beren Cross, 19 June],

the two clubs have come to an agreement over his signing, according to the Andalusian publication’s print edition (22 June, page 51).

Roca’s move will be made public for less than £4.25 million,

even though Betis has the opportunity to extend his current loan agreement by an additional year following Leeds’ failure to qualify for promotion.

Though paperwork is being exchanged to complete the deal between the two teams,

Roca will be leaving Elland Road permanently before Betis’ preseason kicks off on July 8.

Leeds United happy to end Marc Roca transfer speculation

After losing out on promotion back to the Premier League in May,

the Whites will likely have a disorganised and unsure squad during the summer,

thus it is imperative to remove unneeded money from the books.

Roca was one of those players who always seemed likely to return to Seville in the upcoming weeks,

having made it obvious throughout the previous season [El Desmarque, 4 June].

Daniel Farke can now relax knowing that the midfield player has finalised a permanent return to La Liga.
