Aston Villa ace gives AC Milan transfer hope, choosing AC Milan over Inter.

The man known to Villa supporters as “The Polish Cafu”

is thought to be among the

players who would most likely depart the team as

Villa looks to generate desperately needed capital.

According to the UTV Podcast,

there was early word that

AC Milan was keenly interested in the

Polish right-back and had even placed a bid a few weeks prior.

But the interest has subsequently waned a little because

Aston Villa has set a £30 million price tag on the player.

Although AC Milan likes the player,

they are not willing to pay that much right now.

According to reports in the past several days,

Inter, another massive Italian team,

has reportedly started talks to sign Cash.

A possible trade agreement

between the two teams is reportedly in the works,

according to FCInterNews,

with Cash moving to Italy and Denzel Dumfries moving to Villa Park.

Dumfries’ current San Siro contract is set to expire in one year,

and it seems doubtful that Inter will want to renew it for the 28-year-old.

As such, the Netherlands international will have to

decide if he wants to hunt for a fresh challenge in the Premier League.

The Dutch defender would bring a wealth of experience to a

Villa team that was making its debut in the contemporary Champions League.

Dumfries would be a great addition for Unai Emery and his squad,

having made over 50 appearances for

his country and 30 appearances in the tournament.

With AC’s interest waning,

it appears more likely that

Inter will sign Cash now that they are the front-runners.

Additionally,

AC Milan has asked about the

whereabouts of Tottenham defender Emerson Royal.

In September 2020,

Matty Cash signed a £14 million contract with Aston Villa,

and he has since made 142 appearances for the team in all competitions.

After making an impression in the

Championship as a right defender and midfielder,

Cash was signed by Nottingham Forest.

Since suiting up in claret and blue,

Cash has represented Poland internationally

and been a vital part of Emery’s revival of Aston Villa.

Though most supporters would be happy to see

Villa complete a deal to upgrade Cash for the upcoming campaign,

many feel that Cash’s best days wearing the Villa uniform are behind him.

I wouldn’t be shocked if a deal was finalized within the next week,

given how quickly the PSR deadline is drawing near.
