The most recent Rangers and Celtic transfer rumors ahead of Scotland’s last-round Euro 2024 group stage match.

Scotland’s trip to Hungary on Sunday is their one chance to potentially guarantee their spot in the Euro 2024

knockout stages, but they have to give it their all. The Scots have a lot of work ahead of them in Stuttgart after losing

to Germany in their initial match and drawing with Switzerland, but the Tartan Army has been there for them the

entire way.

Let’s look at the Scottish Premiership and the most recent transfer rumors circulating as we get ready for Scotland’s

last group stage encounter. The summer transfer market is currently open for business.

Rangers prospect Arron Lyall, a winger, has officially signed with Scottish Championship team Greenock Morton

ahead of the 2024–2025 season, pending SFA certification. The 20-year-old’s contract at Ibrox is set to expire, and

he has signed a one-year contract with Cappielow Park.

Lyall failed to make a significant impact on the senior squad despite playing in 41 games and scoring 15 goals for

Rangers’ B team. Despite being on the bench multiple times, he only ever saw action once, in a cameo against Hibs in

May of last year.

The youthful player, who can play on either wing or in midfield, will try to make more valuable experience after

switching positions. Lyall has already been on loan to Airdrieonians and Inverness CT.

Longtime Lyall admirer Dougie Imrie of Morton expressed his happiness at finally reaching an agreement with the

20-year-old.

“Arron is a young player with a ton of potential and ability who is very promising.” “I’m thrilled that he has agreed to

become a Greenock Morton player. He gained valuable experience in the Championship last season, and his playstyle

will excite fans when he plays,” he stated on the team website.

“I’ve been following Arron for quite some time, and I’m thrilled to have his signature at last.”

Celtics player makes a transfer suggestion

When asked about his future, Celtics standout Kyogo Furuhashi recently gave a cryptic remark. The Japanese

international has been connected to a return to the J1 League, as Urawa Red Diamonds has been trying to sign him this summer with a “mega-money bid.”

Although Furuhashi has openly said that he wants to advance in his career in Europe, a recent interview suggested

that he might be considering his choices. The 29-year-old, who scored 19 goals and provided five assists across all

competitions, expressed dissatisfaction with his 2023–24 season total. It is, nevertheless, a great deal fewer than the

34 goals he scored the season before.

In an interview with Nikkan Sports (via Daily Record), Furuhashi acknowledged his declining goal total but also

expressed satisfaction in providing Joe Hart with a fitting farewell when Celtic won the Premiership.

When asked about his future after that, he gave a general response about honing his goal-scoring skills without

mentioning Celtic in particular.

“Wherever I go, I want my presence to be felt,” he declared. “I want to score more goals than last season because I

had some disappointing experiences.”
